Our third PAUSE Live event saw a departure from the world of arts, as we welcomed a business coaching consultant to speak with us.

Caroline Pankhurst is a coach and researcher who specialises in the psychology and philosophy of courage. Her ‘Be braver’ initiative has helped to transform the ambitions, careers and futures of people that sought a lasting change.

Caroline spoke about the varied forms of courage and challenged us to ask difficult questions of ourselves that we would otherwise avoid, to reveal how we all display courage in our own way.

She discussed the importance of embracing failure, vulnerability and risk-taking before splitting us into small break-out groups, where we were asked to be candid with our colleagues about a time we hadn’t spoken up when we had intended to.
